Well I am looking into getting my first street bike. The R6 has really caught my eye. I have heard nothing but good things about this bike. I have had experience riding dirt bikes before. Would the R6 be a fine first bike for me to purchase and learn on? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks so much.

As long as you're cautious until you get some street experience the R6 is a fine bike. Stay out of the right wrist for a while and it'll keep you hide intact for a long time.

Hey if I can drive an r6 as my first bike and first experience with any kind of bike then you can do it too. I got my bike in June of this year. I love it. It has been a slow but fun process for me. I have never even driven a standard car before or even 4 wheeler for that matter so the whole changing gears in new for me. Even my 4 wheeler is automatic. Anyway, I am glad I got the r6 as my first bike cause if feel if I got anything smaller I would have out grown it too fast.
