hey there, imma fresh noob, i really want an R6 as my 1st bike, i prefer anything 03+ . i have a friend with a CBR600RR as his 1st an has only dropped it once, so that means if he can do it then i can too, i dont think a R6 will be too much for me. im like 5'3" and 115 lbs!!! (typical skinny azn dude) o noes plz dont flame me for being a noob, k bye now =)

no worries...no flaming goin on. Welcome! Congrats on wanting to get a really kick @ss bike! Couple of key pointers to start you off..1) get enrolled into a MSF course http://www.msf-usa.org/ 2) Don't worry bout what your buddy can do...concentrate on learning things at your speed...not someone elses. 3) Don't underestimate the R6...I like your attitude ("i dont think a R6 will be too much for me")...confidence is a must...but don't get over-confident.
I apologize if it sounds like I am lecturing. I am by no means THE expert, but my bike ('05 R6) was my first bike, so I know where you are coming from. Good Luck & Be Safe!

Yes, it can be done. You can survive having an R6 for your first bike. But it won't be an easy battle. Becuase even if you forget that you're riding one of the fastest most powerful 600s ever built, the bike won't.

I started my career on my '02 R6. And I still ride it everyday, but there were definately times when I doubted my choice and thought that I was in way over my head.

Oh and at 110lbs, bulk up dude. Eats some doritos or something. You're going to need your strength to pull the reings in on this thoroghbred from time to time.

Mate - that is some serious lack of weight.
May I recommend Chunkamax150000 from Bullshit Supplements - works a treat!

On a serious note - take it easy, it's a serious tool for a first bike. Of course, I want an R1 now but you'll find that with time!
