I've been reading the BBC to get accurate news for for a few years now, mainly because the most news sources here in the states are corrupt and false.
Anyway, there's a word that keeps coming up that I'm not sure what it means.
What's a "row"? Is it like a trial, or court or something? Any help would be great.

Hey,
A row is basically an argument. To row about something is to argue.
Assuming it was used in this sort of context. Failing that a 'row' is what one does in a boat to get from a to b!
Can't blame you for turning to the BBC either - occassionally I have a look on CNBC, FOX ANNDJFKCOETGDDCMCCBC (or some other accronym) for a laugh. Not wanting to offend but my god, you guys get fed some of the biggest bullsh1t I have ever seen.
The different 'alert' levels after 9/11 were a constant source of entertainment (no jokes re 9/11 mind) - not to mention the interviews with hicks from a town with a population of 6 who are adament that Osama was heading there next.

Okay now you're from the other side of the pond and you say the trife we're fed. I see it too. I just don't understand how more of my fellow citizens don't see that we've been given the ol bait and switch.
And I gotta say, I was almost positive Blair wasn't going back in after continueing to follow Dubya. I'm allies are one thing but if I were blair I'd definately start showing my desired seperation. All I can say is I can't wait for 2008 when we got a chance of doing something better.
I also love how on the bbc they don't CAPITALIZE when they refer to bush. Like here the media thinks he's god. and everytime they refer to him it's always Mr. President. and on the bbc, they jsut call him Mr. Bush. Not even the prez. It's beautiful.

I think it stems from this whole patriotism thing. You guys take it to the extreme, enough so that facts become irrelevant and action has to be the only solution. Fire first, aim second.
I guess my cynicism partly comes from good old Mr Moore but mostly from watching the east getting more and more pissed by the US (and partly us) sticking our beaks in.
Blaire was always going to get in as we have no better choice at the moment, I don't think he has done that bad and due to our forces being some of the best in the world he didn't lose too much public favour through casualties. I agree though, we need to stand up and stop chasing every bone Dubbya throws. Without our support it would have been a different matter.
Fancy starting our own government - we could rule with an iron fist?!

I'd rather rewind the clock prior to 2000. I traveled about Europe there quite a bit when I was done with school. And from Ireland to Italy, europeans couldn't say enough about Clinton. And what happened, the bible thumpers tried to get him tossed for having some relations with someone other than his wife. Oh well. I'd rather have some bloke gettin a little on the side then someone bent on power and bullying the world to show he's better then dear ole dad.
But no their in power, and they have their poster boy at the front. I can only hope to hold off for the next 38 months and hope the elections do us some better justice. Cuase he didn't win this one, and he sures hell didn't win the last.
I think it's funny that someone on the other side knows Moore and his movies. I figured the right gustoponuts would have stopped open thinking at the border. Good to see they don't have almighty power. (least not yet)

Bowling for Columbine was aired on national TV and Farenheit 9/11 even made it onto our cinemas, much to our approval.
One of my friends is adament that Moore is the devil and Bush has only done good - but thats another matter usually saved for heated 'rows' (!) down the pub.
There's only so much your government can hide and most of that appears to be coming out with time anyways. Not saying that ours is much better at the moment.
Sorry to hear about Orleans as well - hope you guys weren't affected.
