hows it goin all..

just picked up an '04 R6..
its my first street bike so im still gettin used to it, its alot different from the dirt bikes i used to ride.. and ALOT faster... im definately havin a blast with it.

Was wondering if fitting a different can to your machine will affect your warranty?
I just got my new R6 like yourself in Blue which i personally believe is the dugs baws.... :wink:
I was wanting to fit a different can but i am worried about warranty issues..

I am running mine in at the moment.......manual says under 7000 rpm for first 600, then oil and filter change, then under 9000 rpm upto 1000 miles.
After that it should be well and truly settled in and then va va voom... :twisted:

i picked the bike up used, the guy who owned it before me did whats done to it, so my warranty is as a used bike, i still have the factory warranty till the end of the year and the dealer said it is fully covered still.
the guy had the dealership do all the install work and the maintenance so that may have a reason why they will fully cover it still.. but i dunno.

far as breakin it in.. it was done for me.. lol

the guy rode it for a few months(he got it as soon as the 04 was available) then decided he wanted an R1.. so they took it and traded him up.

the exhaust on it now is a GYT-R full (carbon)
