Insurance is hella high nowadays. Can anyone recommend a good insurance company for Motorcycles. Im looking for well worth it for service type of company's. Big companys are so formal, little hole in the wall insurance companies give great personable service if you can find a good one. I've checked with foremost... they seem to be a good company...

State Farm has the best rates in Ohio. Remember insurance varies from state to state, county to county even. So some companies will be cheaper from state to state, it is all based on claims exposure. Right now nationwide, the loss rate for sportbikes is at 80%.....unreal, what that means is that 80% of the sportbikes insured will have some type of claim. If this trend continues, so will the rate hikes. Crazy. I am 29 years old with a clean driving record and I had quotes over $4,000 bucks a year for my R1........State Farm was $588 for great coverage! I suggest just calling around as much as you can stand until you find the cheapest rate. Good luck.

Just insured my 05 R6 at $880 for the year, full coverage. I called foremost, they were about the same but had an application fee. I decided to go with Rider Motorcycle insurance. They are a good insurance company here in NJ, everyone seems to have them. Geico quoted me $5000+ for a year, rediculous huh? They said that it was because I have never actually owned a bike in my name. Even though I have been riding for 5 years, they wouldn't give me a break. But then again I am in NJ, and getting a bike in NJ is basically suicide. People drive like idiots out here, especially up north just outside NYC.

State Farm was the best for me at $228 full coverage per year. Although they have some strict contingencies into who to cover. Overall I'm happy with them so far.
