I ride in a Teknic, and a Joe Rocket Ballistics for cold weather.

I have been down before during an emergency braking from wheel lock-up within the first 3 months of riding. My bike as totalled ( it was a 250 KAWA ). I had my lid on --- saved me from a few hits as my head bumped the pavement a couple of times. I slid quite a distance. I had a jacket on but not a riding jacket and jeans. A few road rashes on the left elbow and left knee.

NEVER again. I now use a Teknic Sprint Jacket --- very good even for cold weather. For summer, I use a Joe Rocket Rio.

Still wear jeans but plan to get Rocket Ballistic riding pants.

Gearing up is worth it.

I was thinking about getting a pair of teknic leather pants to zip to my jacket. Just was wondering if anyone has used them, and what they thought?
