On my 04 if you wanna remove just the peg itself its held on by a nut and bolt, if you are looking to remove the entire assembly i think you need to pull the undertail down

Hey, thanks. I found out how. You have to take the pilot's seat off (rider). There are two standard size hex screw if you lift up the back corner of the seat. Take that off and there it is. Then you have to switch to a metric hex  to take off the left mount.

If I'm taking any passengers they will have to let me know in advanced lol. It didn't take very long but I droped a hex key in my rear assembly, ugh. got it out though. LOL

:D

I'd double check your thinking that there are any bolts on your bike taht are standard. Everything is metric. Japan doesn't use imperial measurements. It should be eitehr a 5mm or a 6mm or is it a 4mm. I forget.

Nope. I swear I switched between metric and standard hex sets.

theres a high possibility that they threw a 5.5 or 4.5 mm size in there that a standard hex-key works on, they do that all the time on the helicopters i work on, american airframe with french engines, you need a full standard and full metric set, what a pain in the ass. every now and then you come across some really goofy sizes.
