1999 suzuki hayabusa, 189.6 mph. they were detuned in 2000, now they only top out at about 186 or so.

Dude, this is an R6 forum. He's talking about the R6, not the Hayabusa.

what is the fastest this thing will go bone stock?

I couldn't tell you the top speed, I have no idea, but I'm sure someone else can help you out.

Actual or Speedometer?

Actual is probably in the neighborhood of high 150s possible cracking the 160mph mark. But the bike doesn't have the power to overcome it's drag.

Speedometer will report into the 170s but the bike isn't going that fast.

The Statistics up front say 162 mph.

It will go as fast as you puch it, what is the fastest you have gone on it? I am not telling you to speed just asking. How is your area for tickets can you get away with lots of speed??

usally if you get caught doing above 85 on a bike and you actaully stop, its generally not a ticket, but an arrest, for reckless endangerment and then speeding and etc.
For you Connecticut riders, and anyone else who wants an idea, here are the state statutes

Ct state statute 14-218a - Traveling unreasonably fast
This statute only applies if you are doing less than 56 mph nothing above on a regular rd, no highways

1-9 mph over limit - $93.00
10 mph over limit - $100.00
11 mph over limit - $107.00
12 mph over limit - $113.00
13 mph over limit - $120.00
14 mph over limit - $126.00
15 mph over limit - $133.00
16 mph over limit - $139.00
17 mph over limit - $146.00
18 mph over limit - $152.00
19 mph over limit - $159.00
20 mph over limit - $165.00
21 mph over limit - $172.00
22 mph over limit - $178.00
23+ mph over limit - $181

Connecticut state statute 14-219(b)
Speeding infraction 56 mph - 60 mph on regular rd's, and 56 mph - 70 mph on highways not regular rd's

1-9 mph over limit - $113.00
10 mph over limit - $120.00
11 mph over limit - $127.00
12 mph over limit - $133.00
13 mph over limit - $140.00
14 mph over limit - $146.00
15 mph over limit - $153.00
16 mph over limit - $159.00
17 mph over limit - $166.00
18 mph over limit - $172.00
19 mph over limit - $179.00
20 mph over limit - $185.00
21 mph over limit - $192.00
22 mph over limit - $198.00
23+ mph over limit - $201.00

Speeding on highway 14-219(c)(1)
Speeding 71 mph - 75 mph - $203.00 (Highways Only)
Speeding 76 mph - 80 mph - $244.00 (Highways Only)
Speeding 81 mph - 85 mph - $284.00 (Highways Only)

61+ mph on a regular rd and 86+ on highways are misdemeanor motorvehicle summons. Technically thats an arrest with a promise to appear. No ticket just go to court. If you do these speeds and are consittered to be driving irraticly you can be arrested for reckless endangerment.

Oh yea this is just for motorcycles and cars, and does not include fee's for school or utility zones or both. Trucks add more money and so do the other zones.

I ride the 03 Special Ed. with a micron slip-on and I got my speedo to read 160mph with alittle less than a 1/4 turn left to go.

fastest i got was 217km/hr up a hill, not sure what that is MPH, around 130 i would guess, too lazy to do the math. either way, i felt like the thing had wings and was going to take off into the air with afterburners on and start doing barrel-rolls or something. what a rush. im a bit of an adrenalin-addict

I've seen 161 mph on the flat on my speedo, and 167 mph going down hill. Of course that is what my speedo is reading, and I've never been that fast except on my bike, so I have nothing to compare it to. Oh, and that's on a stock bike with no power/exhaust mods.

My speedometer said 140 in 5th at 13,000 I have had it to 155 in 6th. I don't know if it's actual but I felt more comfortable than in my car

I had mine up to 155 also in sixth and I feel the same way. It was the smoothest 135+ run I have ever had, and I used to have a '94 Z28. For some reason I felt more comfortable on the bike doing 155 then in my Z28 doing 135. I guess the suspention on the car had something to do with it, being more soft and squishy then the bike.

I've seen 160 on the clock racing a Noble (British made sports car) & it still had some left but they have been trapped to a genuine 163 at Bruntingthorpe over here in England (it's a 2 miles landing strip which I still used by NASA in an emergency).
MCN and other bike mags over here use this strip / outfield to rinse most new bikes. Need to get there and see it's full potential some time!
