What are the cleanest fitting flush mount blinkers for an 05 R6?

Leds or regular bulbs?

Which is better?

Thanks for the info in advance.

I definatly think in my own opinion, that greggs customs LED flush mount signals are the best. I have them on my bike and they blend in sooo well....there is no cutting of the cowling what so ever, just press in, and tighten the washer against the back of the plastic. splice 2 wires together and boom you have new installed lights. They are definatly brighter than halogen. Fire departments are now going to LED's cause they draw a lot less power, and are generally a lot brighter, some of which are now matching the intensity of strobes. Not to mention they last for 100's of thousands of hours. Well worth the investment and greggs customs i think are the way to go.

The greggs look really cool I will definetley have to get a pair of those

Also I have been thinking about fabricating my own undertail using some sort of flushmounts in the rear after removing the splash guard and mounting a mini bracket for the liscence plate.

Then mount the flushies on the underside of the cowl to the right and left of the tail lights

Do you think these would work well in that situation as well?

Yea it probally would work, but to be honest, do you really wanna go start cutting the body on it? I just went out and bought one that had the licence plate bracket and turn signals all done on it. I got them from http://www.eurobikes.com/eliminator.htm

And this is what mine look like on my R6 Fender Eliminator (http://intellectweb.com/tramsdell/IMG_0682.jpg)

Thanks for the info

I really dont want to cut on the bike but I like fabricating my own stuff...
A little bit more mine if you know what I mean. And its more of an origional unique look. 8)

But between my last post and this one I found a taillight kit that incorporates amber leds into the existing taillights it looks really wicked.

Example: When you put on your left blinker while breaking the left light goes from bright red to amber in the same intervals as the stock blinkers.

Check out ebay- Asian bikes- body parts- then type R6 in the search category and scroll down on the second page.

Thanks again

Haha no problem, i was a bit in a rush before but i was gonna say you can fabricate a bracket yourself pretty easily out of sheet metal, and then paint it, and make your own holes for any signals you want. wouldnt take much to wire it in. also there is a relay out there that you can make your led brake lights flash as signals as well if you want to consitter that

Also tell me how you want it posted if its possible :?:

Let me know if that will help out...

I'm going through the same process myself. I was thinking of cutting a fender with place for the indicators, but the license plate here in aus land is bigger than yours, so it will turn out that my indicators are bumping out. Additionaly, the law here states the indicators must be at least 18cm apart.

What I'm gonna do (don't know if it'll work though) is use car indicators for the job. I find the side indicators on my RAV4 to be perfect, cut the fairing on the sides using the same shape I have on the car. They are clear white with interanal orange coating.

It's a big risk .. but hey, if it'll work .. it would be damn nice.

greggs customs for front, clear-sloutions integrated taillight for the rears but the taillight wiring kit sux. go to an electronic shop and get some real terminals and do it properly. also watch where you put the resistors, they can get really hot.

I got my fender eliminator and flush mounts from fendereliminators.net. It took me about 30min to do it all. The LEDs look great. really cleans up the tail. I left the running light wire cut, dont need em.
