thinking of getting a D&D slip on for my '04 R6. any bad feeling or red lights on this idea?? i want something F**king LOUD so people might actually notice me on the road, although im never seen in a jacked black eplorer pushing 35s either. well, either way i want it loud and proud, my other choices were the micron or hotbodies, any suggestins??

D&D pipes are rediculously loud. Like I can't leave the house without everyone on the block knowing I'm gone.
I run a Micron pipe. It gets loud when I want it to, like above 8k. But I can keep it civilized if need be, I work 2nd shift so I come home at midnite. With the micron I can do that and not piss everyone off within a square mile of me. D&D that's not an option. They are super loud ALL the time.

so is being too loud D&D's only downfall? would anyone suggest a re-map after a slip-on?? i know technically you should re-map if you change anything, but you can get away without one in this case. does it make much difference??

I can't speak for everyone but I do not like D&D. I have a friend with an 01 R1 who has a D&D slip on. That bike sounds soooo bad I'm almost embarrased to ride with him. Not the sound you would expect out of a nice R1. Can't say i've heard one on an R6 but being around him turned me off to them. I currently have a Scorpion Titanium and I love it.
I just put a D&D on my black 05... Had the bike since December and she ran strong with that ugly stock exhaust but the difference was immediately noticible when I jumped on her today after installing the pipe. It only took me about 1/2 hour to get the old one off and the new on and believe me when I tell you I am not experienced in any way. Almost seemed too easy to put on... The sound of this thing... WOW!!! My girl had one on her old 01 R6 and it was loud but this thing seems like its on another level. A lot of people claim the pipe to be obnoxious but that is in the control of the rider if the rider has any control of the throttle.
I love the sound of this thing and I would recommend it to anyone for the R6. they just seem to compliment each other well. My girl has a red 05 and we ordered the same one for hers... will be here next week so we can finally make a lil noise instead of sounding like a lil whisper every where I went with other bikes...
In case anyone is looking... 58cycle.com has a lot of different exhausts and they got mine to me in 1 day... lowets price I could find for the fastest service only paid 330.00 with tax and shipping and all for the black satin ti faux.[/img]
