Hello
I had problems starting my bike yesterday and today and I was wondering if anybody has encounter a similar problem or knows what to do. I live in a desert so it has been pretty darn hot lately when I climb on the bike afterwork to go home. The engine would not start for the first 2 or 3 attempts and when it does fires, it sounds like it's about to stall. If I rev it then it'll catch, and idle normally.

During the morning I have no problem starting up the engine though there is another quirk that has been bothering me. The tach usually go through the rpm range to recalibrate itself when ever I turn on the bike but lately it seems to skip doing that.

Any clue on why any of those things are happening?
Thanks.

When you shut off your bike, do you use the kill switch or just turn the key?

I use the kill switch first before turing the keys off.

I was thinking if you just used the key to shut off the bike, it might a mild case of vapor lock.

I parked it at a different spot today and it started up fine so I am hoping that it was just the heat that was causing the problems.
