Ok gents, new to the forum but need some assistance with my bike so thought i'de join and get some opinions. First off, downed my bike in a canyon a few months ago and its been giving me small problems ever since, most recent ones: I keep getting a check engine light, I ran the Diagnostics mode from the dash and got code 17, looked it up a bit and it does not seem like a big one to deal with, the real issue is that as i am casually accelerating, as soon as i hit 8k rpm, there is no more acceleration, it just levels out right there until i twist it a bit more to get it past 9k than every thing is back to fine and dandy, if i accelarate hard from the get go i don't feel that flat spot there at all, just under mild and slow acceleration it hits. Is this issue possibly related to my code 17? Also the last time i came back from a ride, i park the bike and after a couple minutes i look down at it and there is coolant just pouring out of a little hose on the right side of the bike, the hose is lower down on the bike, i havn't looked up to see what that hose is but it released a good amount of coolant and there is none left in the fill tank, im asuming its an overflow hose?, is all of this related in some how or does my bike just have a lot of issues?

Thanks for the reply, I figured it out a bit more, turns out I just mis-read the code, its not acctually giving me a code, thought it was 17 but I guess i don't know how to properly get the diag mode to show me a code, the coolant was just an overflow, so the only problem is the flat spot at 8k rpm but i think i will have to take it in to see whats wrong with it, don't think i'll get it figured out here since i don't know whats going on myself.

Ok figured everything out, the loss of power was due to my EXUP servo motor being stuck, i went ahead and disconnected the cables from it and no more engine light or power loss, went ahead and flushed my coolant system and topped it off with some engine ice. Saweeeett!!!!
