Hi,

I was planning to get a '05 R6; since I live in Erie, I need to store the bike from mid-Oct to mid-March. The Suzuki GS500E that I currently have is easy to store; I just run it on storage fluid for ten minutes, drain the oil, pull the battery out and I am done. I have heard the fuel-injected and liquid-cooled bikes are harder to put into storage. Could anyone please provide me with a little more information?

Thank you!

Basically it's the same process. Although I would change the oil right before stroing it instead of draining the oil. That way more of the crankcase is filled with oil and there are less places to have surface rust form (i.e. crank and rod bearings).
