Hello Everyone!

Does anyone have any news/pics on the supposedly completely redesigned 2006 R6? I have a Suzuki GS500E right now and I am planning to get a new R6. I do not know if I should wait for the 2006 or just get my R6 now.
Also, on the move from a GS500E to the '05 R6, do you seasoned R6 riders have any advice for me? I mean, How big of a change is it? Also, I enjoyed the upright riding position on the GS500, especially on long rides - I sat on a R6 in the showroom, it does feel quite comfy but I do not know how it feels to ride one. I would really appreciate it if you could give me a run-down on what you experienced and how you like your new R6.

Pretty big change from the old GS500 man. The R6, or any of the new 600's are pretty balls out. I mean, not that they are on pace with the new liter bikes, but seriously, not that far off either. You will notice a huge difference though.

With that said, don't worry about the difference, embrace it and respect it. Be safe, and be cool, and you will be VERY happy with the purchase!!!

completely re-designed can mean, a new headlight. i dunno but if you itching for one id just get one, i bought an '04 just when the '05s were coming out and i just went and bought it, they didnt have the silver with flames paint for the '05's anyways. if you want it, get it, the difference between an '05 and '06 isnt going to be much. you'll be happy with either one, thats a guarantee. as for how you'll like it and how different it is, i dunno, thats for you to decide. take one for a ride, thats the only way. i went from a 400 maxim to the r6. i was amazed by how easy it was to ride. i dont think you'll have any problem at all. the long ride thing might be an issue though, wont be as comfy. its hard on you but man is it ever fun.

ya man. i had a 1984 Honda Magna 700 until my 05R6.. what a difference.. My wrists hurt after a while but other than that, I think it's easier to ride and handle.. Just do it..
