: Burning sensation from riding?
Crotchrocketing507 04-15-2005, 03:58 AM Any of yall get that? I get this burning sensation up my thigh, right at the bend before my crotch, when I ride sometimes. I noticed it when i rode a buddy's bike a while back, and its come back on my new bike now... I had to pull over and reach in my pants to see if I was stung or something. Does that sound weird?
Cooper29 04-15-2005, 07:24 AM Sounds like something you need to talk to your doctor about.....any recent trips to Amsterdam? LOL!!!!!!
That sounds like a personal problem buddy...
Crotchrocketing507 04-15-2005, 02:02 PM It isnt anything to do with my dick, Its not a burning like when you piss. Im surprised yall dont ever feel it. I havent felt it in the last couple of days. Maybe its a muscle pulling due to the fact I aint never straddled nothing before. I hope it doesnt happen again, it will just scare me, and i dont want to go to the doctor.
JoeCool_MN 04-15-2005, 09:19 PM Hey there,
I'm not a doctor or anything, but what you're probably feeling/experiencing is simply a loss of circulation in that area of your body. As I understand it, this can be fairly common, and it actually happens to my arms when I have them at "Parade Rest" (military garbage). If this is the same thing, I know it can be quite uncomfortable. Anyway, if this is the problem you are experiencing, you might want to try standing up every so often while riding just to get the blood moving again to your lower extremities. Might be an easy fix to your uncomfortable problem. Give it a shot anyway.
r6youngn 04-16-2005, 04:13 PM im also not a doctor, but i know you have a major artery where you are taling about and its prolly just applying pressure on it when you ride, causeing circulation loss, its just a pressure point thats causing this, its makes sense for you to feel it on some bikes and not on others because you have a different stance on some bikes, therefore the same amount of pressure isnt applied to this area. you could try a different position, there arnt many to choose from but just move around until its comfortable and it should be solved.

NTFireFighter 04-18-2005, 09:29 AM Being an EMT I can tell you that is MOST LIKELY a slight loss of circulation. The femeral artery is located on the inner part of your theighs. and if you have tooo much weight or pressure on it, you can slow down circulation giving you that sensation.
To resolve it try repositioning yourself on the bike on how you sit, how tight your legs are to the bike. Also if you do go see your Dr there are certian ways to inprove circulation like if you take real asprin once a day that will thin your blood and greatly inprove circulation. The reason why they tell people with hear problems to do this is cause it gets by any blockage in the heart that is causing the failure keeping oxygen and blood moving to the rest of the body. (For reference: Heart attacks dont usally kill you, its the lack of flow of blood and oxygen to the brain that does, heart attacks just stop that flow...action/reaction) There are also other medications out there to help that but for the most part asprin does the job. BEFORE STARTING ANY MEDICATION OR TREATMENT, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR Your Dr may have something else to resolve it without taking any medication. Sometimes simply excerise or cardio work outs get blood flowing really easily after a week just building endurance.
wow, thanks so much for all that information, im glad some people could overlook what it seems like (fucked up dick) and give me a real response. Im glad to hear your opinions, thank you very much...
