Hi Guys,

I' new to the board but not motorcycles. I bought a used R6, and the speedometer lens is cracked. I bought a new lens, but thought I'd get some advice on replacing the part. My bike is a red 2004.

Thanks in advance!!

It's pretty simple. The hardest part is getting the gauge cluster out of the dash.
You basically strip all the plastic from the front, upper, headlight, etc.

Then unplug the wiring harness going into the gauge cluster.

Remove the mounting screws that hold the gauge in the fairing stay.

Now you should have the gauge cluster completely removed from the bike. At this point take out the small screws in the back that hold the two halves of the cluster together.

Seperate the two halves, pop out the lens.

Reassemble.
