My 02' R6 is driving me crazy. I turn the key the power comes on but when i flip the switch to run and push the starter button nothing happens. ive been checking every wire and fuse i can think of and i cant figure it out. Any advice would probly help cuz i have no clue what to do.
Thanks,

Could be a couple things. When you go to turn it over does it just click? does it do nothing, does all the power drain to that no lights are on? From the information given it sounds like the battery could be no good as in not enough to start the bike, but enough to see there is life. Try cleaning the connections and running a charger on it. The other thing is that the starter may not be good. But start simple before start taking things apart.

Also when was the last time the bike ran? Have you done any work to it? Did you ride in the rain last time it was running?
One way to narrow down if the starter's the problem is try to push start it. As long as everything else is functioning it should start. If it won't bump start, then you problem is outside of the starter circuit.

i laid the bike over on the right side. that was the last time i had it i rode it. most of the damage is to the front fairing and that shouldnt affect the bike running. ill try to hook it up to a charger and bump start it. thanks for the advice.

Did you have the bike running after you laid it down?
Because sometimes the tip sensor gets stuck or you need may need to disconnect the battery to let the computer reset.

if it was tipped over, you would most likely need to disconnect the battery to have it reset itself. go through the owners manual or the maintenance manual if you have one. it should help. if that doesnt work, definitly charge the battery, just put a multimeter on it and see what it reads, if its below 12v that thing will never start, it needs to be charged. you are in neutral or the kickstand is up right when your trying to start right? simple things first, you never know.
