Ive been away from the R6 seen since '01. Im looking to get a track prepped R6 again and I was hoping one of you R6 addicts can share with me the differences/upgrades from the '03 model to the most current???
I'd really appreciate it!

All mostly the same man, each yr they got more power, and the 05's have inverted front shocks, and bigger brakes. I think the 05's computer was remapped a little and bigger injectors

It all depends on what you want to run.
If you're going for like a thunderbike bike class where you have the whole power to weight restriction, you may want to go a little older because then you get the advantage of shaving a bunch of weight and not running into too much power.
Anything '03 and newer you're looking at a pc3 and full exhaust, rearsets and clipons, braided lines and some sticky tires. No one year is much better than the next except the '05 and the inverted forks. But even pre-inverts you would get some racetech springs and gold valves and a penske or fox out back.
Gearing you're gonna chuck anyway and I would assume go 520 with some different sproks so you can play with different setups.
All in all they're all pretty much the same from year to year after you get them track prepped. Except the inverted forks.
Personally I've always liked conventional forks. They are easier to pull apart and work on yourself if you're into that kind of thing.
