Charleston, if you get a chance check outTeam Promotion (http://www.teampromotion.com) they run at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw. They run a track/riding school for beginners that is incredible at boosting skill and confidence.

I am new to the whole riding experience. I just bought a 2005 R6 for my first bike, not a bad choice. My boyfriend has been riding for years and now has me hooked.
Its kind of funny to have my boyfriend ride bitch on my r6. Its not something you see everyday.

*Enjoy the ride*

yeah charleston is fun...my boyfriend is a navy brat too...he's here studying nuclear engineering (lucky him), but yeah, there is a ton of history down here (my major is art history, so i've been hearing all about it), and you're right about the lack of twisties... i'm from clemson, so i grew up in the mountains, tons more twisties ;) it's a little straighter and flatter than down here than what i'm used to :) it's all good tho, you can still have a lot of fun!

sorry guys but it's not history unless it's at least 500 years old.
The cathedral in my home city is some 1000years old alone (possibly older, although I'm unsure).

History.....pah! :D

Cold, wet and salty this time of year!

Come summer (that breif 45mintue gap in the clouds!), however, and it's a different story. If you know where to go there are some blinding roads and I've never gotten much stick off the filth as well.
We've got a really good 'scene' out here and events like the BSB, WSB and Moto GP just polish it off.

You can't beat a spot of tea after a jolly afternoon scratching ones sliders
