Does anyone know if anybody successfully put a newer r6 fuel injection system on an older r6? I am thinking about doing it if its possible. Any information would help. Thanks.....

That would be tough and cost ineffective and infact i think its just about impossible depending how the engine is set up. You are talking about taking a carbureted system, and adding fuel injection. Thats taking something that mixes fuel and air together before it enters the engine for a mixture to something that adds fuel right into the cyclender. I am actually going to go with you cant do it. You really need the holes in the block for the fuel injectors to be put in. And to even think about modifying that you need to modify how the engine itself works. If you were to buy a new engine, and then new fuel system and fuel pump and now need a new computer system to regulate the injection and firing. That would be the only way to make it work. Or for probally close to the same money just buy an 03-05 R6 instead. But if you want more power and fuel do and air intake and a new carb with jet kits, braded fuel lines and fuel pump.

It's not so much that it CANT be don, it's just not very cost effective. As far as the injectors going into the block as opposed to the carbs mixing fuel before, they both mix the air/fuel in the intake runners. And the fuel pump is basically the same.
The big difference is in the computer, which has more curcuits to fire the injectors (which are shower head type in the the intake runenr). And I believe there is a different cam position pickup so the computer knows how fast the motors spinning, and there's a throttle position sensor because the ECU needs to know how wide open the throttle is. So your little brackets that hold all this stuff are going to have to be custom because the heads weren't cast with the bosses and threads for the brackets.
If you wanted to cheat, check out ebay or some other bike salvage services and find an injected r6 that's all balled up and snag the motor and ecu. The motor dimensions are the same so they should bolt up nicely. And then you can tell everybody your sh@t's custom.

cool man sounds like that is the best action to take is just swap motor's. i will look into that. Thanks i appreciate it.
