Does anyone know the bolt and thread sizes for the frame sliders and the swing arm spools? It is going on my 2001 R6. I have a friend that does machine work and I was going to get him to make me a set of each out of stainless steele. Please help me if you can. Thanks

On frame sliders, it depends on what you get. Example I use Intuitive Racing Frame Sliders. You cut a hole in the fairing and then pull a motor mount bolt and replace it with the longer one that goes through the slider into the engine.
So for those, and most other drill required sliders, there isn't anything that needs machined.
As for the spools on the back, if you make them out of stainless you'll need to weld the bosses onto the swingarm. Which mean trying to get stainless to join aluminum. Not an easy task. Again the size just depends on what spools you buy. If he's going to afix i peoce of metal just have him put a blank there without any holes and when you buy the spools tap and drill the holes later.

For the spools on the swingingarm all R!/R6's have a M6 threaded holes on the rear end of the swingingarm.
Stainless steel may look good but is very heavy, i also believe if you use a strong material like metal this will just transfer the forces to the swingingarm if you were to crash. i think a plastic that will wear down and disapate the forces better is best
