havent used it personally, but i know someone who uses it in their harley and wouldnt ever use anyhting else....he also owns an autoparts store so not sure if that says something but he says all that stuff is good just buy the best for your bike.

If its before a yr old use what yamaha says to use incase something ahppens you can come back to them and be like look this is what i used and it what you said to use and it there is this wrong with it. if its over the yr you really cant go wrong with the best, people here will post what they use and like and what works for them, can never go wrong with someone who works at a yamaha dealership that sells other bikes...ask the mechanic what he uses in his or sees that works the best and go with that.

OK I talked to the guy today, and he started using it at his second oil change after the break in on his harley, said its the absolute best and would never use anyhting else, they only downfall to the oil its about 8-12 bucks a quart, but if you maintain the bike it only needs to be changed every 8000 miles. So there is your information, he has 30,000 miles on the bike and he said not one bit of engine or transmissions problems yet...you can get the tech specs at www.royalpurple.com
