I bought a 2009 yamaha r6 and I have been having heating issues to where it goes over 200 degrees which from what I am told is normal. When I ride in shorts my left leg just burns however so I am wondering if their is a filter out there to reduce the hit. Thanks

Don't have a lot of knowledge on the topic but I can tell you from what I have heard that generally for R6's the stock air filter has better flow than a good number of aftermarket ones.

i really dont think that replacing the air filter will reduce the heat on your legs. the motor will always be hot when you have it out riding, so i dont know of anything you could do unless you find some sort of heat wrap to maybe put around the motor on the frame and on the insides of the fairings
