I am looking to get a r6 when I get back form Iraq sometime in the begining of 2006. I was problably going to get a 03-04, but maybe an 05 if the price is right. Anyways I was just wondering if there is any major differences in the years or problems to look out for. By the way this is an awesome sight there is a great wealth of knowledge here. well thats a big decision you will save a lot of money getting an 03-04 used but then you dont know how it was broken in, treated, or maintained...and if you are looking to get a bike in early 2006 im sure there wont be many if any 2005's left over unless you get one used otherwise you will be looking for a 2006 and since its the beginning of the new model yr be ready to pay top dollar. If you are from the NY area I am personally friends with a dealer who takes care of fire ems police and armed services and im sure with a small deposit will hold a new 05 r6 in july or so til you get back to the states, just let me know and I will set you up. the new 05's have a few more ponies behind it, bigger brakes i believe and inverted front shocks for better response
