I was wondering what is the best way to clean your stock can, and if it can be polished?

The part that is supposed to be shony, you can hit with "neverdull".

The part that is supposed to be that brushed aluminum, you can get a green scotchbrite pad and scour the snot out of it while rinsing with a non abrassive detergent like dish soap.

i have been using a bug&tar remover, it seems to work good. i tried wax and a few other products, but that seems to work the best out of what i tried, ive been afraid to hit it with scoth-brite cuz after a while the scratches may show, if you are going with the scoth-brite route. i would suggest the blue or gray colored scotch-brite, its a little less abbraisive than the most commonly used purple-red colored one.

I recently blitzed the can with Autosol (metal polish over the pond) on the chromed bits and use a Brillo pad (scratch pad thingy as mentioned above) on the brushed Al section and found it looks the tits now it's finished.
The previous owner has let a little corrosion form on it which needed to go. Took some time and patience and make sure you always go the direction of the brushing.

Well worth it.

We have allumium rims on one of our fire trucks, and the Mothers mag and wheel polish comes out amazing, when we are done with that it looks like crome. Works well on crome too gives it a nice shine. Eagle 1 Never dull is amazing too, works really well

ok guys, your gonna have to go to harley shop to get it but this new S100 stuff is the cats-@ss. use it on the can, hard to get places. spray the stuff on, count to 20, hose it off, done. its a little expensive but wow, does it ever work good and save time. rear-sets, brake calipers, rear shock, the hard to clean areas. great stuff
