Ok, so after doing some track days now on my 05 r6 im finding the engine temp gets up over 100 c, this seems to cause a huge drop in power at 14000 rpm and above - feels like hitting the rev limiter.

The strange thing is if its a little cooler in ambient temp and the engine temp runs under 100 c, all is fine and it will pull hard all the way to redline

Anyone got any ideas on how to keep engine temps down ? I'm running water wetter & still have the fans

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Go get yourself some Engine Ice coolant. Be sure to follow the directions to clean out all the green coolant b/c if any is left in, it's bad for the system. I live in Az, where the temp in the summer gets over 115f easy and my 2003 R6 has never overheated and stays around 170-180 while running on the highways, I used to have normal green coolant and the temp would run about 190-200. Engine Ice does help to keep the temp down and the bike running better. Good luck, hope this helps.
