I have a 04 R6. I am fairly new to the bike world so any thoughts would be great! Recently I have been riding and no problems show, but every once in a while I won't be able to shift out of a gear(up or down). It happens randomly. This is the second time I have had it happen. It happened shortly before I put the bike away for the winter. Then this spring I got it back out. Once I got it all ready for the riding season it was back to normal (I could move through out the gears). Now it has happened again. I am getting close to due for a new cluth, would this be a sign of needing a new one? Or does something else need to be looked at? I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

i had the same thing happen to my 06r6s, turned out to just be a dirty joint on the end of my shift rod apparently dirt and road grim gets in there a prevents it from shifting. i took my rod off cleaned everything well, greased it and its shifted great ever since. that was 4000 miles ago.
