I'm looking to buy an 03 r6 with in the next day or two and when I started bike up which has 11000 miles runs great but I hear a whining/winding noise coming from motor at idle and somewhat still there when revs. There is not tapping or ticking noises. Could someone give me some insight on it.

I have an 03 R6 and I hear a whinning noise when the rvs hit about 5k RMP but the bike runs great and has no issues

I had an '03 R6 and after a few years of owning it, I noticed that the cooling fan would come on randomly. I'm sure it was due to an aging relay or something of that nature, but I wasn't concerned about it as long as the fan was running and didn't burn out. Check for this as it could be the noise. (just a hunch)
