: price for 05 r6 out the door
guest 02-25-2005, 04:55 PM the local dealership here quoted me at $9,000 on the dot out the door. they tried to tell me that there was a $175 assembly fee (umm, am i not paying yamaha for putting the bike together?)
so does that seem like a fair price? i was going to go with a used bike, but yamaha's current financing promotion is too good to pass up. the out the door price includes 3% tax, tags fees, blah blah blah. btw, this is for what the dealership called a "limited edition" that was all black. the msrp they had listed was $8,500. he said that since it was a limited edition he wouldn't budge much off the msrp.
.... um i just bought an 05 r6 the same exact special edition black your talking about... the black only costs 100$ more according to yamaha, and i got a sale price of 7499... off the regular 8100 some odd they sell them for.. so figure in your tax, hes waiving the 300$ some bullshit crate shipping fee or soemthing, but im still paying the 100$ document fee, but i get 20% now off all accessories, including the yamaha gyt-r carbon fiber slip on exhaust that is 460$ im getting for like 370 i think? and all my gear, my jacket and such.. so i think we got like 8900 for the bike, fees, tax, and a grand worth of gear... so idk about your deal... i dont know if its your area or what im from CT..
ImPo Skyline 02-26-2005, 01:13 AM What the crap?! Mine was $10,200 brand new in 02.. altho I didn't even shop around.
It must be sense I live in CA...
fierohink 02-26-2005, 01:42 AM IMPO you got hosed man. I paid $8013.79 tax/title/tags for mine 04/19/02.
ImPo Skyline 02-26-2005, 05:07 AM Mine is an 03, It had to be shipped from east coast. It was one of the last blue 03's available. Oh, I also added all my gear and some aftermarket parts in the deal.
Just picked up a 2005 R6 a few weeks ago. After taxes title license and fees it was $9100. I didnt shop around for mine, i guess it depends on what part of the country you are in, if they sell a lot of bikes, and how good you are at negotiating. I'm not that good, I couldnt even get a free HJC helmet from the guy. But I agree with guest, the financing deal they have right now is very appetizing.
yzfmik 03-01-2005, 10:22 PM Mine was just under $9,000 OTD. Nobody would go lower here. BUT we in Florida do get to ride more than the northerners, so it's ok, Lol.
Kevin 03-03-2005, 08:00 PM Hey i just bought a 05 today and it was only tax and all 7407.00
R6FlyerC5 03-06-2005, 04:37 PM I bought my '04 R6 last October in Oklahoma...out the door for $8500. They first quoted me at $9200 but we some negotiating and not going with the impulse buy. i guess the fact that it was their last '04 in the lot helped a little, they needed to sell all of their '04s in order to get the '05 in the lot.
I hope that helps!
You Yanks don't know you're born!
My 2004 R6 worked out at £5,650 OTR. That's $10,500 to $11,000 at current exchange rates

kcdano 03-22-2005, 08:32 PM i bought my 04 silver flame otd for $8600 here in kc.
Shepard 03-28-2005, 12:07 AM Just buy a used one man. There is absolutely no reason why you should have to pay $9000.00 for bike. If you look hard enough you could pick up a perfectly good 04' for $7500.00. If your wary of buying a used bike take it to a mechanic and have them look it over. That may cost you $40.00 or so but it will save you from buying lemon.
RIDELESS-1 04-01-2005, 11:00 PM Probably the best deal in the country is a place called Lakehill Motors in Cornth Mississippi. (Northeast corner) There out the door price is $7399.
You can check out there site at www.lakehillmotors.com
Hope this helps............RIDELESS-1
loiboy 04-03-2005, 01:12 AM I recently got an 05 R6 9200 OTD. they threw in sliders and front flush mount turn signals. I tried everything to get it cheeper or with more accessories, but everywhere I went they were selling them fairly quick. I was lucky to get the accessories. In TX it is hard to get a bargin on a new bike
Sonny 04-11-2005, 10:17 AM I got my 05 R6 for 9000 and got 50 dollars for accesories, but that was about it. The price was 9200 but i took my 9000 and laid them on the table. I live in Puerto Rico and bikes here are jacked up in prices. For exampe if you want a suzuki GSX-R 600 being the less expensive bike in the market the price right now is 9800.
justinw3053 04-12-2005, 06:40 PM I am picking up mine for $10,000 tomorrow, they are throwing in 2 helmets, jacket, gloves, micron high mount pipe, fender eliminator, and tax tag title. Tax alone for this is going to be $765. I don't want to hi-jack but am I getting worked here?
RIDELESS-1 04-12-2005, 08:38 PM depends on the brand of the lids and the gloves, they better be good is all i can say. be carefull
Shifty Capone 04-21-2005, 10:20 PM Me and 2 of my buddies are going to pick ours up tomorrow. $8400 OTD with helmet and gloves. Sad thing is they are paying all in cash and i'm putting $4,000 down and financing the rest and thats the BEST deal we could find around here.....
damn i wish i didnt live in cali... i paid 10,000 out the door for only the bike... i spent like 1,600 more on junk...

I bought a silver '03 last September with 2 Alpinestar jackets, 2 helmets, a pair of gloves, a bike cover, front and rear stands, and a service manual for $5000. That's not to mention the Ohlinns steering damper, power commander 3, frame sliders, and Scorpion titanium exhaust that came on it. Oh yeah it had less than 5k miles on it too. [/img]

I bought a silver '03 with 2 Alpinestar jackets, 2 helmets, a pair of gloves, front and rear stands, a cover, and a service manual. Plus it had an Ohlinns steering damper, a Scorpion titanium slip on, and frame sliders. The thing is in perfect condition and I paid $5000. Oh yeah and it had less than 5K miles on it. The point is: LOOK around and find a deal.
Sorry for all the posts, my computer got away from me and for some reason I thought I had to redo them. Anyway I wanted to mention to that I found an '05 for sale for only $4400. The guy says it only has 70 miles on it and it's in absolutely perfect condition. You can e-mail him at bike77@yahoo.com.
