I was looking to purchase a new set of tires to use on the street and track for an 04 R6, can anyone recomend some. I wanted the Pirelli Diablo Corsa's, however, I couldn't find any in 120/60, only 120/70. I assume the 120/70 wouldn't work. Any input would be great.

Thanks

a 120/70 will work. It'll just be a little taller and pointier. So the bike will drop into corners quicker. It'll also goof your steering geometry a hair so you'll want to slide the fork tubes up in the trees by like 1/4 inch.
The pirelli corsa's are great, you can also check the metzlers. They are the same tire just round tread pattern instead of the triangles on the pirellis (pirelli owns metzler).
You could also check michelin pilot powers. I ran pilot sports for years on the street and several times on the track. The pilot power is the replacement to the pilot sport.
Are you looking more track than street or more street than track. The diablo corsa's are more street oriented. While the super corsa's are more track oriented.

I ran 2 sets of the 208's and I wouldn't buy them again. Im running Metzler M-1's front and rear. They are a very good tire choice aswell.

r6girl, where are you from. Cause if you're anywhere on the East Coast you should check out Team ProMotion (http://www.teampromotion.com) they are out of Philly. They have some of the best prices on pirelli swag. Plus they run a pretty kick ass rider training program.

Out of Mich huh. The U.P. or down in the glove?

If you're out in the midwest you might want to check out SST (http://www.sportbiketracktime.com). They run a bunch of days out of putnam and nelsons ledges and mid-ohio. PLus they're sisters with team pro so you can use either group.
Just wondered up the mich, cause my buddy lives outside midland.[/url]

I live in the burbs of Detroit in Birmingham. Yeah, I know about sportbiketracktimes, however, I usually ride with Trackoholics out at Grattan.
