I had the battery recharged two days ago and put it back on the bike yesterday and rode around for about 2 hours when i got home it would not turn back on and all i get is a buzzing sound what can it be any ideas ive heard something about the stater but not sure and if it is the stater would anyone know how much one is and is it dificult to self install? thanks for your feed back i appreciate it

Either your battery is not holding a charge or you charging system is not producing enough charge. To check your battery, have it charged and then come back the next day with a voltmeter and see how much voltage it is still holding compared to when it first came off the charger. If you have more than .2 or .3v drop or you have a total voltage under 12v I would start with a new battery.

Next check your charging system, start your bike, rev and hold about 5k rpms, and check voltage across the battery terminals. You should have above 14v, if not start with a new regulator rectifier and test again.

Yes, this is a good way to test to find out what it is. But hopefully its just the battery. Pick one up at walmart for under $50. Also, i had a battery problem before...i took off my seat and check, only to find that when i accelerated my battery was shifting back and grounding out by touching a metal piece under the seat. After repossitioning that i didn't have any problems with it.
hopefully you don't have a problem with your charging system, that could get expensive.

good luck!

Take your battery to a local shop and have it load tested, or even a battery retailer like Batteries Plus. If it checks out fine then time to test your charging system.
