I have a 04 r6 and i am going to Daytona to race for my first time and was wondering if anyone had info on what gearing to run there.

Depends on what your strengths are.
You have the high bank and you spend alot of time on it so you should think about top speed. But a 600 doesn't create a whole bunch of power.
Stock is 16/48 and that gives you a theoretical top speed because the bike is drag limited. I run 15/50 and top out easily at big tracks.
Personally, I'd start with 15 up front, and take a 47/48/49/50 rear to swap at practice. Rears are only like $17 so it's not like you're spending a bunch. Plus what you don't use, you can ebay.

May I ask where your getting sprockets that cheap?

Look around, i know places in NY and ct that if your sprokets are mint they will just trade them at no cost. Try like www.parts411.com

I'm sorry I didn't even realize my error. That's what I get fronts for. Oops. Sorry I get rears for $36. I run Sprocket Specialists SS line. I get them from Smiths Powersports. If your interested I can get the number, I usually just stop by if I need anything.
