So I have a 99 R6 and I am debating on what slip-on to get. I want something that is going to sound amazing. I hear that two brothers or yoshimura is my best bet. My question is... Does anyone have one of these slip-ons and how do you like them, also is there any other slip-ons I should check out

Thanks

For an older R6 you might want to look into Micron.

personally i likle the sound of the two brothers better. my buddy has a yoshi pipe on his GSX-R and it sounds really nice. But like fiero said i have heard that Micron is better for the older models of the R6

I have a Two-Brothers slip-on on my 07 r6s and it sounds amazing. However, I had a Yoshi on my last bike, which also sounded really good. I do agree that you probably should go with the Micron for the older R6's. On of my Marines had it on his 02 r6 and he loved the jump in performance and the sound was great.

Let me know how it sounds. I've been thinking about getting an Akra for my R6S as well. I've seen them on an R1, and it was killer.

for the older r6's i like the sound of micron but anything like 03+ i'd go with a two brothers. that's what i have on my 09 and it sounds gorgeous. especially at idle where i personally feel the bike sounds a little weak...only my opinion tho...nobody snap my head off.

It sounds pretty dang good man. I test rode it the night I put it on, and first I was like, well this is pretty cool, then the next morning, for some reason the thing sounded 5x better, lol. Its either a akra or a two Brothers man, I wouldn't go with anything else. Both have great sounds

I wish I had this guys job. Whoever this is just gets to browse the internet and attempt to make posts and pitches for their product in online forums. SO jealous right now.

I don't hear a whole lot about Jardine's. I know their good exhaust, but the newer look of them with the slanted pipe looks terrible

Installed a Akra full system with noise reduction insert removed on my 09 R6 and sounds better than Yoshi:tongue8:

Earlier someone said Two Brothers is to loud...I've had both a yoshi can two brothers carbon fiber exhaust, and two bros is deff louder. both are great pipes, and i like the look of yoshi better. if you are going for volume two bros hands down.

also, yoshi has a deeper sound, two bros has a higher pitch. (at least to my ear)

i ride a 2004 R6 so hopefully that will help

I got a Scorpion Can shortened by 4" (7" either side of the strap, gotta love the symmetry, plus its nice & parallel to the Seat Fairing) on my 2001 R6, its has Not For Road Use stamped really small under the spout, so it already sounded quite nice, but now its sounds awesome.

Save your $$$$$....cut the factory exhast in half, hollow it out and recap it. It'll sound loud as hell and be "custom". Then go spend your saved money on some frame sliders and/or safety gear! When you have an "off-road excursion", you'll be glad you did!
