Hey does anyone here have the competition werkes fender eliminator kit? Recommendations/warnings? Is there another brand I should be looking at? Let me know, thanks!
Oh while I'm at it, what kind of frame sliders are good? I'm not sure if they're all the same or if one is better than the rest.
These mods are going on an 05 model. Any help would be great, thanks!
I'm not sure about the fender eliminator part of the question, but I've got "Vortex" frame sliders on my '03 R6 and I love 'em. They're built solid and come in two-parts so you can replace only the puck if you need to. I had to cut (a hole) only the right mid fairing on my R6 and I'm pretty sure the '05 R6 hasn't changed the body pannels. This is the middle (black) fairing part and not one of the painted pieces. This is nice if you're afraid of cutting...it's not too expensive to replace.
Good Luck,
Kevin

I also am looking into the competion werkes fender eliminator. It looks killer!! I have Intuitive frame sliders on my 05'. They were 55 bucks and I had to cut the right fairing but they are great. :D

I used eurobikes fender eliminator, pretty easy to install, not that expensive and it comes with led licence plate light and turn signals.
Here is what it looks like

I use INTUITIVE frame sliders and swingarm spools. You have to drill the fairings, but it's well worth it.
I describe it like this to my customers "Would you rather have me take time and care to put a nice hole in your fairing, or do you think the pavement's going to give you nicer results?"
I have crash tested the sliders and the spools several times at various speeds and they definately minimize damage.

Same question as above, any warnings or recomendations about the "Competition Werkes" fender eliminator for a '04.

I have the competition werkes kit on my 05 R6. It was the best $150 I have ever spent. It looks awesome and it is well made. Fits great on the R6. I would reccomend it to anyone looking.
