Has anyone tried taking out the battery. I seem to have a problem yanking it out after releasing the rubber mounting belt and after taking the terminal bolts out. I tried lifting it out but did not have enough room to maneuver it out. Is there anything else that needs to be done. The manual does not tell us squat when it comes to the battery.
Thanks.
From the top of the battery....Push down slightly to get clearance, then lift the battery out.
The support under battery is plastic and flexible under firm, but carefully applied force.
I was stuck getting the battery out a week ago...I didn't know how to get the mounting belt off...Tried pulling....No luck
I call my girlfriend over (girls have a lateral thinking mind) and say "babe, how do you think I get this belt off"......"Oh, you mean like this"
I'm a noob....Forgive me. :D
Goodluck....
Oh yes the R6 manual is crap because Yamaha want you to spend money at one of their authorised service centres.
Don't!
Get a Haynes workshop manual for an R6 at £19.99 ($38.21) here
