I just bought a 2004 R6 and noticed that theres a flat spot(hesitation) between 3000-5000 RPM when i open it up. Once it gets past 5000 rpm it starts pulling good again. Any ideas?

how many miles are on the bike? And did you buy this new, and the problem just started to happen? Or is it used and has always had the flat spot?

there are 1500KM on the bike and i bought it used. it has always been there.

It is a flat spot that is pretty much to be expected. The simple fix may be as easy as a slip-on exhaust. The pipe should even out your (dyno) line a little. If not a power commander will do the trick. I would put on a good slip on and a p/c.......HUGE difference.

yea i would say a power commander with a slip on should straighen that out, maybe a slight gear change to get more snap but the r6 is still quick, it might feel a little hesitatant, but if you look how fast you are still accelerating its moving
