Does anyone have experience using a premium type oil such as MOBIL-1 in their R6? Just wondering how the transmission behaves with that oil. I was told by the dealer to use just YAMALUBE. I do not know whether this is just crap. Their reason is that oil that is too slick like automobile synthetics do not work well with motorbike transmissions.

The primary difference between car and bike oil is the detergent package. Car oils have additives that allow for a longer change interval, and produce less toxic emissions when burned. Bike oils have less focus on clean running and have a higher concern on "shear value". Shear value is the oils ability to maintain molecular integrity and viscocity after being sheared and meshed like in a bike trans.
I run normal black cap deaad dinosaurs yamalube in my race bike. This is one of the few times I agree with a dealer mechanic. Run the regular stuff.

I did my first oil change today and used the 10W-30 YAMALUBE.
Thanks for the advice.
