Hey...Can anyone recommend stock suspention setting for an 01 R6 with a 200# rider? I dont think ill have the coin to have the forks and shock redone this season., so im going to go with it the way it is for now, and need a good starting point...any feedback would be appreciated.

I am 210# and I work down at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, and ride and race a 2001 R6. I also ride the front on the bike to use it to turn. I can give you my settings as a possibility for a starting pointI dont know what the stock settings are for the front the settings are rebound: 6 turns from seated, Damping: 4 turns from seated, Preload is at the second line with 210kg springs, and the forks are above the triple clamps an inch and a half

The rear has the stock spring, Rebound: 3 turns from seated and Damping: 5 turns frome seated.

This may not work for you depending on your riding style and speed and experience. But i can tell you the first thing to do to make you feel more comfortable on the bike is set your Static Sag, and just put new fluid in the forks it will make a big difference the fluid is about 10 dollars and some mechanical know how and time. After a few laps start adjusting. Good Luck!! and keep the rubber side down!
