Well, it happened again. About 5y ago I had my pristine 900RR stolen from me. It was only 1 week after a custom paint job, full exhaust, sprocket's, jetkit, itnition advancer and K&N were installed. 2 years later my bike was found.

Well, it seems like someone decided they liked my R6 a little too much. Thing is I installed a hidden cutoff switch that they couldn't find and disable. They had enough tools to take the seat and tank off...to bash my ignition switch to hell and then try to push start the bike (there were scuff marks on the new tires). They gave up after a while (dropped the bike once) and simply put her in the last parking spot next to the exit of my appartment complex.

I didnt' even notice her missing  !!! I was leaving for work and noticed another R6 parked in the parking lot that looked like mine...then...IT IS MINE!!! WTF. Well, seems like they managed to f-up some wireing too cause I have some funny problems now.

Moral of the story...a simple $2.95 switch from Pep-Boys hidden in the right spot is a pretty damn good theft deturrent.

That's messed up. I don't know if it's the same in tx as PA, but a vehicle isn't considered stolen until it moves from it's original location. So if your insurance comp gives you a hard time that may be an avenue to investigate.

Wow that does suck a lot....mine hasnt been stolen its garaged at home and at work...well i work at a PD and i park it out by the window of the office i am in, and not to mention we have a secuirty survalence and i keep a camera on it all the time....anyone who takes it will most likely be shot if they dont get out of the parkinglot, and if they do a persuit will be enguaged so its all good. he makes it to the highway...well state police in CT are really hardasses and realyl really dont like criminals so not a question in my mind they will get him...assuming he makes it that far

That Bites, Dyezak. I don't have my own R6 yet, but after speaking to other people and talking to victims. I'm going to take some serious precautions into securing my bike. How's your bike doing now? I wonder if anyone else uses the Sr-i500. I might get that but I wonder of it's features and benefits.
