Well, it all started with a buzzing from under the seat. So I bought a new battery. After about a month and a half later, its back. The problem is after riding my bike for a while, the battery dies. I have friends who say it may be te wires. Anyone have any suggestions?

It could be the rectifier, which compared to a car is the voltage regulator.

What year do you have? and PM me with a good email and I'll see if I have a factory service manual write-up.

You need to start eliminating possibilities. Without being there to see and hear what is going on, you'll just have to do a laundry list of tests.

First pull the battery, give it a good charge, and perform a load test on it. If you don't have the equipment to do so, go to a garage or Pepboys type store and they should be able to do it. Basically a load tester is a giant heating element that shorts out the battery and tests to see how good the battery is. If it passes good the battery is eliminated, if not replace the battery and move to the next issue.

Check for an electrical draw. Hook the battery up but leave the negative terminal unhooked. Place a multi meter between the wire and the battery terminal and measure voltage and amperage with the key off and the engine off (KFEF) and key on engine off (KNEF). Then hook the negative terminal up and unhook the positive and do the same tests. This will tell you if anything is shorting out. This is a bland and general test. You should see a small amount of draw for the computer while the key is off, this is normal, but if you see something high like 12v and 10A draw you know something is wrong.

From there just start with each component and test if it is good. There wil lbe a lot of trial and error.
