hey hey, just wondering what the best way to get the exact colour for my bike, I have a silver 03, but I am goiing to paint it team yamaha blue. Any suggestions? thanks

You can get the blue from yamaha. Its called deep purplish blue or something like that. You could have a paint shop color match if you have a friend with yami blue. Or PPG makes a color that is sorta close. Hope that helps.

there is a cheaper way of doing it if you want to. get a sample of the color. take it down to your local home depot or osh hardware store and they can match it to the T. excellemt and you dont have to pay the big bucks from getting it from the dealer....

Sounds good if you want an exterior latex house paint without a flex agent. Seafoam green anyone?

yeah interior/exterior doesn't hold up very well to stone chips.

Go to a yamaha dealer and get the touch up bottle. Then check to see who makes it. Chances are it's ppg deltron or some other major manufacturer. There aren't many out there that can produce that quantity of needed resources. If it's not ppg then find out who it is and get a part nbr. Contact your local body shop and find out where they get their supplies, then contact the supplier and cross reference the part nbrs.

yea...i would have a body shop color match it, they will take all the orig paint right off of it.....anoyher way to go it sell the entire body on e-bay and spend the money and get the body parts allready painted from yamaha or www.bikebandit.com
