I own a 2007 R6. The check engine light turned on, then shut off. The next day, it turned on again, then shut off. The day after that, it turned on and stayed on. I had the Yamaha dealership check it out and it was showing "Code 18." They corrected it, but now it's doing it again. I have to take it back to the dealership, this time to get one of the parts replaced. Supposedly, this has happened to several 2007 Yamaha R6s. Anyone else have this same problem? There hasn't been a recall yet, but, from what I hear, it's possible there may be one for the 2007 R6 because of this problem. It may just be a rumor, but who knows?? I'm not sure, but I think I remember someone saying there's something wrong with one the parts on the bike having to do with the "exit valve." I don't remember though. Anyone else have this same problem?? If so, did you have to replace any parts??
