I have an 04 r6 and had not taken it out in awhile. When I went out to start the bike I just heard a clicking noise when I tried to start it. I double checked the battery since I have had some trouble with it before. I have 12v before trying start the bike the volts drop to 10.5v or so when hitting the start button. Just behind the battery there is a clear plastic cover, just under that is were the clicking is coming from and you can feel it clicking as well. So what do I need to fix to get this thing out and the road again the weather is great and it is killing me to have it in the garage.

Chances are you have a dead battery, or rather a not fully charged battery.

Yes, it shows 12v with no load but is dropping down to 10v when you put a draw on it from your starter...which isn't enough to turn the starter.

The clicking you hear is the starter relay and fuel pump relay cycling through.

Get a battery buddy or similar trickle charger and you should be fine.
