Also, does anyone have any suggestions on how to paint the frame?
double 06-24-2007, 08:19 AM I can't believe nobody has commented on this bike, it is one very nice machine.
As far as painting the frame, I personally wouldn't. I think the silver of the frame balances well and makes the bike stand out. A black frame would not enhance the bling this bike has. Plus if it is painted then if knocked, chips will be easily seen and denote the look.
If a bike or car for that matter has a lot of work done people look for imperfections rather than the modifications.
Very nice bike mate 8)
BSullyR6 06-26-2007, 11:46 PM I appreciate your compliments!!! I was wondering if anyone even looked at the pictures...
double 06-27-2007, 08:33 AM Mate I'd say plenty of people have looked at the pics but I reckon they are too busy ordering the parts to put on their own bike
Alot can be said for the work you have done. It is too easy to go and buy a new bike but I really appreciate people that do up not so new bikes. For mine, the earlier R6's (R1's as well) had a shape and appeal that the newer bikes are missing. Hold onto it, the comments I have had with my '00 amaze me. People will walk past a new bike (even though I love the '07 R6) and always comment on the older bike in great condition.
If it goes as good as it looks your onto a winner
jimmie 06-27-2007, 12:27 PM Fantastic looking bike. got to be one of the best looking R6's I have seen modified that does not look over the top. Its the same colours as mine. Love the black wheels, swing arm, bolts, etc, really sets the look of the bike off. Like Double said, leave the frame as it is.
Looks like I have now got some big plans for my bike.
Are the rear indicators in the lights?
BSullyR6 06-27-2007, 03:03 PM Thanks Jimmie, yes the signals are in the lights. I think I am actually going to change a couple things, first the rearsets, I want some black adjustables.
jimmie 07-13-2007, 08:50 AM Hi, got a quick question, when you fitted the LED intergrated rear brake light, did you fit a new relay or did you use resistors?
I have fitted one to my bike, but when I use the LED relay, only 3 leds in the unit light up when indicating. But when I sue the original relay, all of the leds light up but flash to fast, I hoping if I use resistors, this cure the problem.
Thanks for you help.
BSullyR6 07-14-2007, 02:08 PM they do flash fast
RACERMAN 01-24-2008, 01:07 PM The Bike looks Beautifull
kdn630 09-27-2008, 04:10 PM Biike looks great.... I am guessing thats a 03-05 rear swingarm? I havent seen that done before is it a direct replacement?
