ive heard of some people drag racing a sportsbike, but its a waste of an R6's nature just to go straight! but err... if you jus wanna go fast in a straight line, get a busa and be done with it

I haven't raced at drag strips around here, but I think it would be a blast! Good chance to practice my launches anyhow!
I've seen a few 'busa's out there though, with the streched swing arms and what not. I saw one 'busa do a 9 something @150mph when I was at Pacific Raceways.

although the R6 is not a liter bike or even a product for drag, it holds its own. I am a regular at California SPeedways open track days and i run the hell outta my 07. It took time to learn to launch my bike because of the power being so high in RPMS. But after some time, and upgrades,(full Yoshi, PC3, K&N, smog block offs, and -1 +2 regrearing my baby launches and actually i beat some 1000s with novice riders. All the while i still can tear up the mountains, I.E. HWy243 my backyard. Its sucks people act like you can only canyon carve on sportbikes. A day at the drags is sometimes more fun than a crowded and dangerous rocky HWY. just my 2cents. P.S. 10.29 1/4 @ 130mph
