well you asked for comments on gear well i have a few.
i have the joe rocket jacket for summer commuting. a few months ago i was hit from behind by a car at about 40mph. i slid for a while but came out unshaved in the torso. there is a not too much damage to the arm and back one seam was riped open but i fixed it. all things considered for a mesh jacked i am stoked how it held up.

i also own the datona jacket from icon. this jacked is full leather an it keeps me warm. this jacket is a relaxed fit. my only complaint is that the caller creates a pocket when you tuck into the bike it allows cold air to run over your neck.
