yeah dont do it..... :D just kidding....its all about throttle control brother...alot of people say 600's cant wheelie but they are wrong its all on how good you are at throttle control...i also find stand up wheelie's alot easier because you can see everything that is in front of you. and dont blow your fork seals eaither......have fun and wear as much protective gear you can....

Just a word of advice, the R6 is a very sensitive bike when it comes to throttle control. As for wheelies, the R6 is in the not so poular category. If you look at what a lot of stunters ride you see a lot more gixxers and hondas because the gas tanks run flat across, and their ability to hold wheelies by far out run the R6. However, the R6 has a hunchback to its gas tank, and the rear sets set your feet at more of an arch giving the bike its "racing" feel and look. If youve done wheelies before you know what to do and what not to do. If this is your first wheelie attempt, start out small by sort of popping the bike off the ground and learning where and when to manage your throttle. Do these "minnie" wheelies until you get the feel for bike. The next step is holding them. At this point it is entirely up to you. Just remember that the R6 is not known for its wheelie capability, I watched a friend of mine try to do a wheelie for the first time and he flat backed it pretty hard. Thats the scariest part about the R6, it feels like your just gonna fly back and loose control. But after a while youll get the hang of it. Watch out for those tank slappers too.

GET YOUR RPM UP AROUND 4 OR 5 THOUSAND FIRST IN 1ST GEAR THEN CHOP THE THROTLE THE TWIST THE THROTLE OPEN QUICKLY YOU WILL NEED TO PLAY AROUND WITH IT TWISTING IT A LITTLE MORE EACH TIME UNTIL YOU FEEL GOOD BUT BE CAREFUL AND KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE REAR BREAK LEVER

I GET MY 04 R6 UP FAIRLY EASY ! THE PROBLEM IS HOLDING IT UP . STAND UPS I FEEL ARE A BIT EASIER . I JUST GET MY RPM ' S TO ABOUT 4 OR 5 , THEN I NAIL THE THROTTLE. JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU BRING IT DOWN . YOULL GET THE FEEL OF IT . BOUNCING THE BIKE A COUPLE OF TIMES WILL HELP YOU BRING IT RIGHT UP . BE VERY CAREFUL , PRACTICE ON A LONELY STRAIGHT AWAY .  [/b]

you can also run about 40 in 2nd and with your left index finger only pull in the clutch for a split second and roll on the throttle at the same time and it will come right up and ride it out with throttle control
