Got my 2001 yamaha R6 today. got it for $4,920 w/ 1,189 miles on the clock. this was my first time ever riding a streetbike :lol:.
The previous owner stored it for 4-5 months and he dint drain any fluids and batt died. I already replaced the battery. He said that the gas in the tank might be bad, the bike also dint sound right when we first started it up. WHat can I do to tune the bike up? its got 1,189 miles. should I just run the bike till it runs out of gas and refill it w/ fresh gas? my friend that rides told me that we shoud not make any adjustments till we have fresh gas in there. The previous owner also mentioned the bike sounded different from the last time he rode it. Should I worry or it really is the gas?
