This is from Sport Rider...they did a test of 30 slip ons on an 04R6. They did weight, build quality, price, ease of install and of course power. This is the link to the sound clips of the sound tests of each pipe and the dyno runs of each pipe.

You just can't beat the sound of a straight through. Yeah, you lose some of the induction growl but life is about compromise I guess - or so my missus keeps drilling into me.

I have a MIG exhaust i hardly ever see those on R6's it sounds really good has anyone heard anything about those?

i have the micron on my 2k4 and its magical. love it, sound file doesnt do it justice, hear it in person to get the full effect

No question D&D makes some of the loudest pipes. I have a Akra slip-on on my bike now, and I really like it. Two Brothers Slip-on though, to me, is a little gruffier, which I like.

My bike has a Micron pipe. I've heard it being revved to about 7K - 9K and it sounded great! A friend took it for a test drive the night I traded my Mustang for the bike - sounded amazing taking off! I can't wait to experience it first hand behind the bars...this is my first bike, however I've heard many and the Micron setup is exactly how I wanted the bike to sound - so I got lucky...as I'm very particular about the exhaust note...
