the motor pictured is a Ski-Doo rotax 700cc sled engine putting out 150h.p. I have a couple guys going to run this setup this next season, One has a 900cc scorpian engine that will be twin turboed producing around 280h.p. so we and you guys will be able to see the linits of this tranny..

That tranny is going to BLOW!! I mean they already give out on stock R6's (99-02). I hope this is the new tranny (redesigned) from an 03+ cause god help it if it's one of the old ones. I think the next mod should be a broom and dustpan to pick up the pices when that thing goes.

Can You elaberate on your conclusion.
Because I have seen the R6/R1 tranny used in drag bikes pushing 300-400 h.p. Do you think that issue with the 99-02 tranny is not it's strength, but in fact it's lack of oil? It is well documneted that this tranny has some oiling issues..In it's stock case setup. Also, Have you considered the cases being able to flex as an issue? What about the fact that the R6 uses a split case design with a couple 6mm bolts holding the upper bearing in the fit? These are some questions that we looked at as possible problem areas..

I would like to hear more on why you think this will be a granade.. Thanks for your comments in advance..

One thing that makes this project so easy for us to do is the availability of this tranny. they are all over the place.. One reason is that some riders/owners don't know about the issues with the stock setup so the burn tranny's up... we replace the gears have the shafts checked out and we are golden.
